Celebrating the Spirit of Tamil Culture through ‘Vazhai Elai Virunthu’

To bring alive the essence of the Tamil lesson “Virunthu Potruthum,” Adhiyaman Public School proudly organized a grand traditional feast — ‘Vazhai Elai Virunthu’ — on our campus. The event was a heartfelt tribute to our rich ancestral traditions, celebrated in an organized and meaningful manner.

Under the guidance and gracious arrangements of our respected Chairman Dr. Srini. Thirumal Murugan and Honorable Secretary Madam Dr. Shoba Thirumal Murugan, the feast beautifully showcased the significance and procedures of Virunthombal — the noble Tamil tradition of hosting guests with love and generosity.
The Tamil Department and the vibrant Grade 10 students came together to bring a wide array of traditional delicacies, served on banana leaves. They warmly invited all teaching and non-teaching staff to partake in the celebration.
This joyful gathering not only immersed everyone in the flavors of Tamil heritage but also instilled in our students the timeless values of sharing, caring, and hospitality.
It was more than just a feast — it was a celebration of culture, unity, and community spirit.
